Locum SMO or GP or Registrar in Emergency Medicine

February 12-29th 2024 Must have 3 years Australian ED experience and ALS2 certification

Various shifts are available for a senior medical officer at the level of pgy6 plus with experience in Emergency Medicine or a general practitioner with experience and qualifications in Emergency Medicine , at a regional health campus in coastal Western Australia. The Emergency Medicine department is open 24/7.
Role Duties

1. you will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients presenting to the emergency department including resuscitation of adults and children and referral to specialist and tertiary centres as required.
2. manage acute trauma and emergency cases
3. supervise house officers and registrars
4. you will work a shift system which includes some night duties

Role Requirements
To be successful in your application for this locum emergency physician role, we will be looking to identify the following in your curriculum vitae and recent history:

1. a medical degree
2. FACGP or equivalent qualification or a minimum of three years Emergency Medicine experience in Australia
3. Experience - PGY6+
4. AHPRA registration
5. the right to work in Australia
6. ALS2 required

Remuneration

1. an hourly rate of $175-270 Australian dollars
2. Flights – Up to $1500 return economy flights – approval in advance
3. Car – Fuel on receipt ONLY
4. Taxi Vouchers provided to and from hospital and Airport
5. Hotel accommodation is provided by site if on-site accommodation is not available.
6. Hire car is provided by site if fleet vehicle is not available.
