THE OPPORTUNITYCSR are seeking a dynamic, influential Logistics Manager to lead our logistics operation across 3 sites, Minto, Glendenning, and Goulburn for a 24-month fixed term contract. This is a pivotal role reporting to the General Manager of Logistics, where you will partner with sales, customer service, manufacturing and planning to deliver exceptional service to our customer.
About the role:- Champion best practice initiatives and drive a continuous improvement culture through collaboration with team and stakeholders to develop ideas and implement effective solutions.
- Build operational excellence in safety, people, operational performance and customer service, whilst delivering viable commercial outcomes, through a planned and prioritised approach to operational improvement.
- Prepare and present qualitative and quantitative case for change recommendations to deliver step changes in operational and financial outcomes.
- Develop annual budgets and monitor actuals against budget to take action where necessary to achieve budget or agree variance based on volume increases.
- Plan and organise the optimal number and type of Logistics resources to deliver operational excellence.
- Promote safety values and implement safety, health and environment policies and systems to embed safety into the culture and ways of working.
About you:- 7+ years in warehouse and transport operations.
- Ability to work at different sites as required by business needs.
- Experience in delivering changes within a Logistics environment.
- Active, hands-on approach with results focus.
- Inspiring and motivating leadership capability capable of coaching and developing others.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with warehouse management systems and transport management systems preferred.
