About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics & Demand Manager to oversee the Supply Chain and ensure a seamless flow of raw materials and finished goods from origin to final destination. You will be competent in problem solving and will enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic FMCG environment. This role is based in our manufacturing facility in Cavan, Adelaide and reporting to the Supply Chain Director.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
- Manage and evaluate logistics activities to achieve operational budgets and manage logistics costs to AOP or better.
- Ensure key performance indicators measuring the effectiveness of the logistics operations are achieved.
- Implement a continuous improvement culture to ensure achievement to AOP.
- Review inbound and outbound freight synergies from the production facility with other Obela logistics functions.
- Maintain strong internal and external Customer Service measurables – DIFOT, returns, truck turnaround time, NCRs.
- Minimise stock losses & maintain compliant inventory standard.
- Develop process enhancements driving improvements in safety, customer service and costs targets.
- Ensure all areas of responsibility comply with the legal and statutory requirements with no risk to Obela.
- Manage all areas of responsibility within the Obela quality and safety company policies.
About you – Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in business/commerce/economics desirable
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent communication Skills
- Five years’ leadership experience in a FMCG or similar industry with supply chain operations.
- Lean Six Sigma certification desirable.
- Proven leadership skills with individuals and teams.
- Extended Warehouse Management (SAP or other) experience desirable.
- APICS Basic of supply chain management, or equivalent desirable.
