The Opportunity
The role is responsible for developing leadership & direction for all Logistics activity in their area of control (NSW, VIC and TAS). It manages all aspects of any internal and external 3PL relationship. This includes the monitoring of contractual & financial performance and additionally inventory management and suitable controls. Effective and professional communication to both internal & external stakeholders is of paramount importance along with the ability to develop relationship for the benefit of the wider business.
The Accountabilities
- Drive continuous operational and business improvements in partnership with peers, 3PL and colleagues within the wider supply chain. Identify and develop improvements that deliver greater customer service, operational efficiency and cost saving
- Provide support in all, when required, in terms of Leave coverage, SAP related matters and areas that assist in the effective running of the operations.
- Finished goods adjustment monitoring and reconciliation ensuring journals to Quality and Corporate cost centres are posted within the correct periods, and national tracking of 3PL ullage requirements, etc
- Provide support for management of the 3PL contracts. This includes maintenance of data and preparation of reports that are required within these periods and any Ad-Hoc requirements
- Liaise with other functions in particular manufacturing and sales to align operational business priorities. Control the effective distribution of NPD launches. Present logistics to other departments and influence relevant decisions

- be responsible for processing many of the day-to-day requirements of the contract in terms of SAP issues, delivery and customer return information.
- be an effective and confident communicator capable of engaging at all levels in the scope of their control
- spend large periods of time working on their own and be a highly motivated individual with exceptional time management and personal effectiveness with a very strong will to succeed
- Attention to detail to manage and assimilate data is essential to the successful operation of this position
- Responsible for data and information maintenance which will subsequently be used to monitor 3PL performance, overall Logistics performance and cost control.
