ABOUT US
Qube Energy is an established provider of integrated logistics services to both the onshore & off shore oil and gas sectors. Our services include Supply Base and transport operations. We are ideally suited to provide comprehensive support to the Oil and Gas industry with supply bases strategically positioned in Darwin, Dampier, Fremantle, Bunbury, Melbourne, Portland, Bell Bay and Barry Beach.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Logistics Operator is to load/unload/pack/unpack materials and perform general yard and drilling logistics duties.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Complete COR checklists, awareness & knowledge of Load restraint & pre-slinging materials for offshore transport
  • 16T and 3.5T Forklift operation
  • Loading and unloading of offshore containers, freight, special drilling equipment etc.
  • Stuffing and de-stuffing of offshore containers
  • Pre-slinging materials for offshore unloading
  • Inspection, Maintenance and cleaning of containers and slings
  • Rigger/Dogman for crane if required
  • Housekeeping of the yard area
  • Ensure appropriate communication of standards, expectations and procedures are followed
  • Complete and process all required documents for discharge and load plans
  • Communicate and liaise with client representatives to ensure that performance objectives are achieved
  • Receival and checking of materials to delivery documents and manifests
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OH&S and Environmental legislation and company policy
  • Identify and submit hazard and near miss reports and engage in safety programs
  • Conduct safety observations and recommendations for corrective action and report Team Leader
  • Provide excellent customer focus and able to consistently meet client expectations
  • Demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn and continuously improve on performance
  • Any other duties as directed by us.
Follow the Safety, Health & Environmental System
  • Follow the requirements of the SHEMS documentation including Rules, Procedures and Instructions
  • Identify system shortcomings and opportunities for improvement
Be Prepared To Work Safely
  • Report to duty in a fit state, free from fatigue the influence of alcohol or other drugs
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and operate plant equipment safely
  • Participate in consultation activities regarding matters affecting your health, safety and welfare
  • Participate in relevant HSE training and maintaining your HSE related competencies
  • Engage in Work only when in possession of required and current Certificates of Competence
Qualifications and Experience
  • High risk forklift ticket, up to 16T experience essential
  • High risk rigger/dogman ticket
  • Maritime Security Pass - MSIC
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation relating to load restraints
  • Experience within the industry of offshore drilling campaigns
  • Experience with material management
Desirable
  • High risk elevated work platform ticket
  • IMDG
  • Knowledge and experience of applicable standards and legislation for dangerous goods handling, storage and transport
  • Current first aid certificate
