About the role:

The Asset Management team is currently seeking a Long Term Planner Assets - Rail to join them on a 4:3 Roster based at Port Headland or Perth based roster with regular weekly site visits. Reporting to the Superintendent Planning Rail, you will be responsible for implementing effective asset maintenance plans and managing the long-term requirements and health of our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS). The long-Term Planner owns the long-term planning, budgeting, and rolling medium term planning (MTP) processes within the Asset Management team. This role warrants the highest degree of skilled & experienced maintenance planning professionals based on the accountability of the role.

Duties:

  • Optimisation of the shutdown and maintenance strategies to support the 13-week model
  • Asset Management Plan and Lifecycle costing development to support LOM budget forecast
  • Development, Improvement and Optimisation of Maintenance Strategies for Rail assets.
  • Coordinates the Development/Implementation of Maintenance Strategies & Tactics using a Risk Based approach (i.e. RCM, FMECA) or a Task Based approach (i.e. Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) Maintenance guideline.
  • Ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are captured in the new maintenance strategies ensuring compliance to operate standards
  • Implementation and improvement of Maintenance Long-Term Planning process, supporting Maintenance Shutdown Execution and Weekly Maintenance
  • Provide/maintain a 1-5 year look ahead for major component change outs ensuring system alignment against area requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in maintenance or maintenance planning positions within the mining industry
  • Experience with the operation or maintenance of Fixed Plant/Mobile/Rail assets highly desired
  • Experience working with reporting systems such as PowerBI and defining report requirements
  • Experience with management of SAP PM Master Data including technical objects, maintenance plans, items, task lists, BOM’s and measuring points.
