Job Description:

We seek experienced and reliable Low Loader Drivers to join our esteemed team at Woodeson Excavations. You will be pivotal in our Heavy Haulage operations, transporting oversized and over mass loads locally and nationally. Operating modern trucks and equipment, you will be responsible for loading and unloading machinery and equipment precisely and carefully, ensuring safety throughout transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Transport oversized and over mass loads locally and nationally, representing Woodeson Excavations with professionalism and integrity.
• Utilise your expertise to load and unload machinery and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-start and operational checklists to ensure the readiness and safety of equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and complete administrative work diligently.

Above all - Demonstrate a proactive approach and positive attitude in all aspects of your work.

Requirements:

• Hold an MC Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
• Possesses experience in Heavy Haulage and operating Low Loaders, demonstrating proficiency in loading and unloading various machinery and equipment, including safely using a dolly.
• Adept at carrying out essential maintenance and basic roadside repairs.
• Familiarity with NHVR, OSOM Guidelines and Permit Requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work away from home when necessary and have the ability to pass a Medical including a Drug & Alcohol test.
• MSIC and White Card holder (beneficial but not essential).
• Full time flexibility, including occasional weekend work, and a willingness to undertake both local and interstate assignments as needed.

In addition to your primary responsibilities as a Low Loader Driver, this position offers a unique commission based opportunity for the person with the relevant skill set. Successful candidates can earn additional income by bringing in new business and securing contracts while not actively driving.
