Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator at our Mackay site you will collaborate within a close-knit team receiving training and support. The working hours are 6am-2pm or 10am-6pm rotating each week. Monday to Friday; no weekends. The team is highly safety focused and process driven, and will ensure you receive thorough training and guidance day to day.

InfraBuild Steel Centre are a fully integrated supplier of metals and building products, with an extensive network of branches supporting mining, fabrication and manufacturing industries nationally.  38 hour week with potential for consistent OT 
Perm positions available 
Monday to Friday with hours 6am-2pm or 10am-6pm on a rotating roster.

OBJECTIVE 

• Operation of machinery to process various pieces for further fabrication or erection to meet customer specifications.
• Utilise cranes to assist in moving materials within machining areas.
• Assisting with general warehousing duties when machinery is not running to maximum efficiency within the workplace.
• Participate in Toolbox/Safety Meetings.
• Work effectively with a team towards common goals.

EXPERIANCE - We have a vacancy for an operator on our plate profile machine. Training provided. Experience in Machine Operator or similar would be good, but ability to learn would be considered if limited experience
 

• Use of Beamlines, Coper, Pack Saws, Cambering Machine, Cropping Machine and Plate Profilers to perform drilling and/or cutting operations.
• Hand tools including scrapers and files.
• Overhead magnet and chain cranes, and crane remote controls.
• Computer with mouse and keyboard.
• Welders.
• Cleaning tools (i.e. brooms).
• Pallets and wrapping.
• Various hand tools.
