The opportunity:
Visy is a Beverage Can expert with a thirst for creating new packaging solutions for our customers. We produce a significant amount of Beverage Cans every year. Many of Australia and New Zealand’s most recognised beverage brands are delivered in cans we make.
Become a part of our Primary Packaging team during an exciting period of expansion and investment. We are seeking skilled Operators with a mechanical aptitude who will enjoy the benefits of a favourable shift schedule, competitive pay, and stable work conditions under our Enterprise Agreement, along with job security and the potential for overtime.
In your role, you will operate machinery in our Beverage Can facility, ensuring the production of superior quality products. Under the supervision of the Team Leader, your main duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Adhering strictly to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
- Building strong working relationships and collaborating with fellow Operators, Fitter Operators, Team Leaders, Production Manager, and Engineering Manager to achieve positive results
- Ensuring all manufactured products are in line with specifications and achieve customer satisfaction
- Enhancing performance by meeting scheduled production and delivery targets
- Providing troubleshooting support, performing general mechanical maintenance, and resolving minor mechanical issues
What you will bring to the team:
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment and hands on experience operating machines
- A trade background is a bonus, however a strong mechanical aptitude is essential
- You will be fit and healthy and have a can-do attitude
- Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure & attention to detail
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation and carry out shift work
Hours per week: 7-day shift pattern, 6am to 6pm, 6pm to 6am, 2 x day shifts, 2 x night shifts, 4 days off.
