Homelessness Melbourne Metro is committed to providing person centred care, trauma informed practice and a strengths-based approach to improve the health, wellbeing and housing outcomes for people experiencing homelessness. Service Profile The Homelessness Melbourne Metro region is a large Homelessness provider in the inner city of Melbourne and provides a comprehensive range of residential & community services across six sites in St Kilda, Footscray, North Melbourne, West Melbourne & Kensington.

Community programs include the Crisis Contact Centre, Community Outreach Services for single adults, support for older people in public housing, rough sleeper & street sleeping initiatives, community participation and AOD support. Residential services operate from Foley House in Footscray, the Open Door in North Melbourne and Flagstaff in West Melbourne.

Homelessness Melbourne Metro is supported by co-located services including the TSA Chaplaincy program, Bolton Clarke primary health service and NDIS support coordination. Your Role No to Violence (NTV) and

The Salvation Army St Kilda Crisis Centre (SKCC) have partnered together to provide the Men’s Accommodation and Counselling Service (MACS). MACS is a Victoria-only service, funded by Family Safety Victoria (FSV) which provides family violence counselling & short-term accommodation to males who have been excluded from home due to their use of family violence.

SKCC delivers a required component of the NTV MACS service model through the provision of short-term accommodation, supporting the MACS counsellors in their work engaging men in family violence counselling. This is a fixed-term part-time position, contracted for 12 months, rostered 2 days per week, based in St Kilda, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award ABOUT YOU Social

Work qualification preferred or degree qualification in Psychology, Mental Health, or related Minimum Diploma qualification in Community Services, AOD, mental health, or related discipline Resilience, flexibility and adaptability Creative outcome focused attitude Ability to meet tight deadlines Advanced communication, written & organisational skills Ability to ensure service delivery outcomes meet the required target Relevant degree or above qualifications Ability to manage crisis situations Initiative to solve service delivery challenges Victorian Driver's Licence Verification of Qualifications & certifications is required prior to commencement in the role Disclosure of pre-existing health conditions that may impact on fulfilling position requirements Fully vaccinated for COVID 19 WHAT WE OFFER We offer our eligible employees NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefits Employee Assistance Program - Independent confidential counselling service Discounted health and fitness programs through Fitness Passport
