AddressWe are looking for a qualified Maintenance Electrician with more than two years of relevant work experience and preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Smithfield location.
· $45/hours $110,000.00+ yearly
· Weekday shifts
A market remuneration will be rewarded to the right candidate.
Main responsibilities
Perform Electrical Duties on Plant
· Perform work in the modification, repair test and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
· Perform work in the modification, technical troubleshoot, repair test and maintenance of all facility electrical equipment and systems.
· Complete routine safety documentation before every job including JSEA, electrical work permits, etc.
· Perform switching, isolation, safety test and earthing of the equipment.
· Perform OEM specific Preventative and Corrective Maintenance tasks all electrical equipment.
· Interpret schematics and blueprints.
· Control and perform monthly electrical equipment/instruments and tools inspections.
· Assist in developing standard operating procedures and processes.
· Identify and provide feedback to issues and ongoing development of projects.
· Perform functions of Authorised Person and Responsible Person as per Plant requirements
Qualifications and competencies
· Electrician License
· Qualified Electrician
· Computer literate – Excel & Word
· 2+ years Electrical experience – AC & DC electrical systems
· Ability to take ownership of electrical systems on the plant.
· High Voltage Switching
· Maintain Transformers and Switchgear and Assist with reporting and perform various HSE related inspections.
· Electrical knowledge (LV) and (HV)
· Technical Support and Reports
· Language: fluent both written and spoken in English
For the particular role we also expect
· Required to work in rotating working schedule and perform standby services as per site requirements including weekends and public holidays.
· Valid drivers’ license
