Maintenance Electrician Fixed Plant

The Mt Cuthbert Group acquired the Leichhardt Project in 2013, located at the remote Mount Cuthbert Mine, North West Queensland. In 2020, the group (Copper Resources Australia) acquired the Rocklands site, approx. 17km west of Cloncurry and since then, the site has undergone an intense re-commissioning phase. Now fully operational, the Maintenance Electrician is part of the Rocklands maintenance team, who are committed to ensuring the the safe and effective electrical maintenance and servicing of Fixed Plant and general maintenance on site in accordance with statutory requirements and company standards.

About the role:

You must love variety - 80% of tasks are electrical and cover process and Fixed Plant operations, 20% of tasks will involve general electrical maintenance (including offices and buildings).

You will need to be able to demonstrate good fault finding skills and have the ability and resolve to work unsupervised.

You will be committed to safe working practises and look for solutions with a positive and "can do" attitude.

To be successful you will need to have:

• PLC and SCADA experience
• HV switching ticket
• EWP ticket
• Forklift ticket
• AC split system ticket (not essential)
• Working at heights (150kg equipment rating applies)
• Risk assessment training or current mine induction
• Drivers licence
• Adhere to a "clean shaven" policy regarding respiratory PPE

The role is offered as a 14/14 FIFO position from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville, or DIDO Mt Isa, with meals and accommodation provided at the site camp. If you choose to live in Cloncurry a generous residential allowance is also available.
