Job Description:  

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician -– Dual trade, or Electrician with mechanical aptitude / restricted license to join our Engineering & Automation Team. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of the installed manufacturing and process automation machinery through execution of a strategic maintenance schedule and implementation of asset care program. e and safe operation of mechanical components in our plant, minimizing downtime and waste. Your role will involve supporting our startup operations, facilitating on-the-job training of other engineering and automation team members, execution of thorough maintenance and becoming a technical expert with our business.   Experience in service & maintenance, preferably FMCG or industrial automation, is desirable. 

• Dayshift roster -– 7 day fortnight 
• 5 weeks annual leave

Responsibilities: 

• Perform thorough maintenance tasks (inspection, overhaul, non destructive testing).
• Identify and address design and process issues, implementing solutions and continuous improvement initiatives 
• Prioritise breakdown service requirements (Startup hours only) 
• Maintain effective communication with internal customers 
• Participate in repairs, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement efforts 
• Complete required administration accurately and on time 
• Contribute to maintenance strategy development and execution 
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to develop optimal plans 
• Assist in managing production processes and ensuring product quality specifications are met 
• Be an active part of an exciting asset care strategy and shape the future of engineering and automation in the business 

Requirements: 

• Electrician with mechanical aptitude &/or mechanical trade qualified with restricted electrical.
• Demonstrated experience in service & maintenance in an FMCG or industrial automation environment 
• Experience in RCA, machine problem-solving, and detailed maintenance execution 
• TIG Welding and Fabrication experience required 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills 
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to challenges 
• Proficient in SAP, Excel, Word, and Email 
• Strong work ethic and team player mentality 
• Understanding of GMP and OHS requirements desirable
• Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
