As the Maintenance Manager overseeing asset maintenance services and daily operational activities you will also be responsible for:
  • Managing both corrective and preventative maintenance through a team of internal staff and external contractors.
  • Ensuring maintenance services adhere to NSW Health total asset management guidelines.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, legislative, and code requirements, meeting WSLHD strategic and business objectives.
  • Contributing to developing strategies for continuous improvement in asset management.
  • Focusing on effective asset monitoring, maintenance scheduling, and reporting to enhance operational efficiency.

Apply online by submitting your resume and addressing the criteria listed below by providing examples that demonstrate your ability before the closing date. * Trade, vocational or tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline, facilities management and/or equivalent extensive experience in asset maintenance management in a complex building environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in effectively leading and managing a team of maintenance trade staff with ability to actively engage staff and influence a culture of best practice asset maintenance management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to, and proven skills in, effectively managing contractor performance and compliance in daily operations onsite.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including planning and resource management with the ability to work on a multitude of tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Proven skills and experience in risk management and asset condition management with ability to identify, understand, diagnose and respond in a timely, efficient and effective manner to common asset maintenance problems, delays and inefficiencies.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal management skills including high-level communication and effective escalation of issues with strong two-way verbal and written communication skills including the ability to listen, explain, facilitate and negotiate effectively.
  • High-level proficiency in building management, scheduling and asset management systems including AFM Online along with strong proficiency in utilising Windows applications and staff management systems (eg. Rostering and timesheets).
  • Working knowledge of relevant compliance requirements including regulation, codes, standards, practices, accreditations, asset management frameworks and a commitment to continual improvement of skills, knowledge and the application of industry best practice asset maintenance management.
