About the Role
Minarah College is seeking a Maintenance Officer in a casual role who will be responsible for ensuring the buildings and facilities at Minarah College is well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out the following tasks as directed;
Diagnose and complete day to day repairs, including;
- Perform routine maintenance tasks
- Conduct regular inspections of school buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs
- Complete minor repairs and handyman tasks as required, including painting, carpentry, minor plumbing, and tiling repairs
- Maintenance of the school grounds and landscapes
- Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for school events and activities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the school premises
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory levels
- Manage and supervise junior staff
- Collaborate with other staff members and external contractors as needed
- Carry out other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Asset Manager
Skills and Qualifications
- Carpentry qualification or equivalent would be beneficial
- Previous experience in completing varied tasks including performing physical work
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Experience working in a school would be an advantage

This is a Casual position from Monday to Friday. This role is required during term time and school holidays.
