The Property Services team is currently in need of a Maintenance Planning Officer for a temporary full-time position until June 2024. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and proactive maintenance tasks for all Council buildings and facilities falling under the jurisdiction of Property Services. While a background in a trade profession is advantageous, individuals with transferable skills from various facility management, administration, asset management, and building backgrounds are welcome to apply. Role Overview:The Maintenance Planning Officer is responsible for planning and executing a wide range of reactive and preventative maintenance tasks for Council buildings and community facilities managed by Property Services. This role involves overseeing maintenance projects, including contractor management, to ensure they are completed within specified timelines, budget constraints, and to meet required standards. Successful candidates should have the following qualifications and attributes:A relevant Cert III trade qualification (e.g., carpenter, cabinetmaker, electrician, plumber, etc.) or demonstrated experience in building maintenance activities.Current QLD manual “C” Class Driver's license.Queensland Construction Safety Blue/White Card.Demonstrated experience and knowledge in contractor management and maintenance techniques for buildings and associated equipment.A strong commitment to delivering quality service in relation to Council's building infrastructure.Excellent interpersonal skills and a dedication to upholding Council values.For more details, please refer to the attached position description available in the download section of this vacancy.
