Maintenance / Procurement Planner

Our growing agribusiness, located in Newry, Gippsland are renowned for producing Australia's finest gourmet baby leaf salad mixes. We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Maintenance / Procurement Planner to join our Hussey & Co family.  

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the preventative maintenance plan, raising purchase orders, liaising with suppliers and contractors and assisting the Maintenance Manager with tasks as required. 

You will be capable of resolving issues quickly and efficiently. This is a hands-on role where you’ll need to have a high level of commitment to the job with problem solving skills that demonstrate your ability to evaluate information quickly and find solutions.

The key accountabilities for this position will include but not be limited to:

• Developing the Planning and coordination of maintenance, operational and process issues.
• Developing and administering maintenance plans, forecasts, and schedules in line with the maintenance strategy and plant performance requirements for labour, materials and costs.
• Developing the planning of the maintenance of the plant via the CMMS (MEX) to ensure all tasks are planned and completed in their allocated time.
• Developing defect and routine maintenance plans
• Provide other planning, reporting or support as required.
• Manage and control the purchasing of spares and materials.
• Prepare and submit monthly Maintenance reports.
• Assist the Maintenance team with challenging tasks and or breakdowns.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate that you:

• Experience in maintenance planning or management 
• A qualification in a relevant trade is an advantage  
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have a highly committed and motivated attitude with the drive to grow and succeed
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Excellent computer skills and proven experience working with the Microsoft Suite.
• Motivated and proactive
