Job Description
The scope of this position includes all responsibilities of the Maintenance Store and Purchasing Officer in relation to Quality Systems and the production of Safe Food. Ensuring all maintenance parts and consumables are supplied by Approved Suppliers and the relevant supporting documentation is maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities of Position
Key Result Area 1 – Maintenance & Stock Control
- Maintain Stock levels through evaluation of usages and consideration for seasonal spikes to ensure all required stock is available.
- Maintains receiving, warehousing and distribution operations initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counting: reconciling with data storage system.
- Conduct random system checks to ensure accurate data is being maintained.
- Liaise with Maintenance regarding parts and supply requirements.
- Maintain supplier relations, through regular meetings with Supplier representatives regarding negotiating pricing and supply requirements.
- Assess new product lines for suitability and forward to Maintenance Manager.
Essential
Qualifications
- Forklift licence
- Previous experience in working within FMCG
- Previous experience in purchasing and inventory control
- Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical components
- Customer service experience
- Proficient computer skills
Desirable
Qualifications
- Certificate in Warehousing and Logistics
- Mechanical or electrical background
