We are on the lookout for an experienced and dynamic Maintenance Stores Person to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Maintenance Stores. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be the driving force behind maintaining accurate inventory records, managing stock levels, and facilitating a streamlined process for all engineering materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Keep engineering records of stock movements to maintain accurate inventory and prevent production delays.
- Run Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) daily and generate purchase orders in adherence to Asahi's purchasing policy.
- Review re-order levels for fast-moving stock.
- Ensure engineering parts are purchased from approved vendors per Asahi's purchasing policy.
- Conduct cycle counts and stock takes to ensure accuracy in engineering stores.
- Develop and manage store layout for optimal space utilisation and ease of parts retrieval.
- Identify components in SAP, tag items, and create new SAP stock entries.
- Complete and detail all Bill of Material information in SAP.
- Perform day-to-day cost analysis for R&M budget, providing weekly expense reports.
- Receive, unpack, and manage goods in the dock.
- Work with suppliers to manage goods receipt, invoicing and PO management.
- Process pick tickets and manage records for accurate inventory management.
- Manually manage orders where required and streamline and automate processes where possible.
- Act as the intermediary between site requests and store inventory.
- Report and identify key risks, manage backlogs, and oversee min/max levels.
- Ensure timely delivery of items to respective area owners.
About You
As an integral part of our engineering team, you are a proactive and detail-oriented Store Person with strong ERP experience. You are not just a store person, you are a challenge-seeker who thrives on integration within a dynamic engineering environment. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
- Trades qualified.
- Experience in purchasing and inventory management, preferably in an engineering environment.
- Understanding of engineering operations and materials handling equipment.
- Proficiency in database systems, SAP experience highly regarded.
- Experience in FMCG/Food manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to drive accountability and governance within the team.
- Passionate about contributing to a safe and healthy workplace, adhering to safe work practices and reporting any safety concerns promptly.
