Form of work Zerella Fresh is one of Australia’s largest grower and packers of Carrots, Onions and Potatoes supplying Australia’s leading supermarket chains plus independents and exports.We are currently seeking several experienced and motivated MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS (Mechanical Fitter) to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, at our Virginia site in Adelaide, South Australia. As a valuable member of our team, you will play a vital role in the success of our Potato, Carrot and Onion operation. If you are reliable, energetic and have a passion for maintenance we would love to hear from you.The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work both independently and as part of a team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be working collectively as part of a team assisting across a range of maintenance operations.An attractive remuneration package is available to the right candidates.Duties include: Provide timely, effective, and safe execution of preventative maintenance, condition-based monitoring, planned maintenance, and breakdown maintenance to ensure operational needs are met without negative impacts to the customer or business. Identify, develop, and implement equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installs to reduce risk, improve capability, quality and reliability plus lower operational costs. Timely completion of assigned tasks both effectively and efficiently. Proactive monitoring of equipment and completion of consequential actions to optimise reliability. Maintain inventory according to required procedures and processes. Maintain a clean and tidy workshop and other work locations. Maintain and servicing of all tools and other workshop equipment. Observe and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures. Report and identify hazards, incidents including near misses or injuries which arise in the course of work. Maintain a focus on results to included improved quality, reliability, safety and processing capability.Requirements: Trade qualification, with relevant experience. Forklift license. A willingness to be hands on and participate in a broad range of duties, a strong work ethic is essential. Mechanically minded with strong problem-solving skills.
