Following a recent announcement by the Australian Government to investigate the acquisition of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia is looking to establish a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world’s leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability. We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Maintenance Trainer to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team.

About the role

The UH-60M Maintenance Trainer (Mechanical) is an integral member of the UH-60M Training Team, with responsibility for the delivery of the DASR 147 and Part 66 compliant UH-60M Type Courses and S-70A-9/ MH60-R to UH-60M Differences Courses and the associated Learning Management Plans.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Conduct Training Needs Assessments
  • Develop Learning Management Plans relating to the development, delivery, and assessment of UH-60M Type Accreditation
  • Assist in the development UH-60M Type Course and S-70A-9/MH60-R to UH-60M Differences Course, fully aligned with the DASR Part 66 and 147 requirements
  • Assist in the development of the suite of assessments
  • Deliver approved training courses and packages including examinations, to Sikorsky Australia and Australian Army students
  • Conduct annual reviews and post course update of training products 
  • Integrate the use of training aids and devices into the Training packages
  • Monitor and Maintain DASR 147 Training Programs and courseware
  • Provide feedback after each educational session

About you

As a confident communicator who has proven experience in courseware design and review, you will enjoying imparting knowledge onto others and thrive in a busy and dynamic environment. You will also hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment from a recognised institution as well as Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).

To be successful in this role you will also have:

  • Proven work experience as a Trainer or Training Facilitator in a similar environment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels
  • Ability to work as an effective team member in a professional environment
  • Existing MAML with 3 years Rotary wing 
  • DASA 66 Practitioner Course
  • Knowledge of DASR 147 

Whilst not mandatory, MAML with S-70A-9 and or MH60R Category experience is highly regarded.

Special requirements

Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance or be eligible to gain this.
 

The location of the role will be Oakey, QLD.
