Stornoway is a market leader in the delivery of infrastructure services – road maintenance, water and waste water solutions, traffic management and asset management services (including Trees / Arboriculture).
Based out of Launceston, Stornoway has casual vacancies in our Asset Services team for a general all-rounders, who are keen to work, are enthusiastic, committed and flexible and looking for career potential with a true Tasmanian leader.
The successful applicants will be self-motivated, team orientated, have a strong work ethic and will undertake activities in a safe manner, in accordance with activity procedures and Safe Work Method Statements, such as:
- Landscape and vegetation maintenance
- Weed Spraying
- Concrete repairs and asphalt reinstatement
- Civil Construction activities
- General labouring
As a Tasmanian industry leader, Stornoway prides itself on its ability to train, develop, upskill and re-engineer tasks to foster an environment that embraces a diverse workforce. In order to be considered for this position, applicants will need to hold the below licenses and or experience in the abovementioned tasks:
- Current Medium Rigid Licence (Min)
- White Card
- Traffic Management Ticket
- Ride on Mower
- Chem Cert Accreditation / Apply Chemicals
- Chainsaw/ Pole saw Ticket
- Competent with Smart phones, tablets, and Information systems
- Operate machinery such as; Skid-steer, Excavator
- First Aid & CPR
