Managed Services Engineer (LVL 2/3 ENGINEER)

Red Centre Technology Partners is seeking a Managed Services Engineer to join our IT department.

This position is located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.

The role entails

• Providing our clients with quality customer service that works in line with the company’s core goals and values
• Build and maintain relationships with clients by working to continuously improve the level of service the customer requires
• Maintaining and updating documentation regularly
• Efficiently and effectively communicate with clients on a day to day basis

Technical Skills

• Proficient in configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with VLANs, subnets, and IP addressing.
• Knowledge of VPNs, WANs, and LANs.
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Proficient in Windows and/or Linux server administration.
• Experience with Active Directory and group policy management.
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Experience with cloud-based services, such as Azure Active Directory, virtual machines and storage.

Desirable

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with implementing and managing security protocols and tools.
• Understanding of firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
• Implementing and managing data backup solutions with on hands experience using Veaam or Storage craft.
• Developing and testing disaster recovery plans.
• Proficient in monitoring tools for networks and systems.
• Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Automation of routine tasks to improve efficiency.
