We are a progressive accounting practice looking for an internal Management Accountant to join our growing team. We are a tech savvy, forward thinking team looking for an outstanding new team member to join us in our office on the Gold Coast. The Opportunity:
We are looking for a highly motivated management accountant to perform the internal management accounting role within our business. You will work closely with the principal.
The role will entail such duties as:
- Manage the day-to-day finance function
- Develop and monitor financial processes and systems to improve and streamline procedures
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections
- Reconcile the trial balance monthly, process end-of-month journals, prepare profit and loss and balance sheet, and other necessary reports
- Monitor key KPIs for management
- Process payroll with knowledge in award rates, employer obligations, superannuation, entitlements etc.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements
- Prepare cashflows budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for management.
To be considered you will need:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role
- Ideally having worked in an accounting practice environment
- Excellent technical and Analytical skills
- Desire a long term role
- Outstanding communication skills are essential
- Be a team player
- Xero proficiency is a must
