About the Opportunity
We're seeking a full-time Management Accountant, for an initial 6-month contract (possibility of extension), to join our Finance team in our brand new Haymarket office.
- Participating in end of month processes including balance sheet reconciliation review.
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.
- Ensuring adequate application of financial accounting standards in the general ledger.
- Preparing monthly performance reports by business unit.
- Assisting in preparation of monthly Board report package.
- Assisting with budget & forecasting.
- Assisting with annual audit.
- Responding to internal requests for information, and interpretation of data.
- Successfully build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Process improvement initiatives.
About You
- Relevant accounting qualifications including CA or CPA.
- Min 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of project accounting and linkages to project management.
- A good level of working knowledge of ERP systems is essential.
- Experience in a professional services environment is desirable.
- Excellent business knowledge and process driven.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both finance and operational staff.
- Sound technical knowledge of accounting standards and accounting principles.
