I am looking for a Management Accountant required for ASAP start for Local gov to work remotely, you will lead and elevate financial management practices, contributing to the strategic decision-making process.
This role involves business partnering within numerous departments within council to develop best practice management accounting and financial management practices.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting functions.
• Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide financial advice and support to various departments and stakeholders.
• Participate in audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Commerce or Accounting
• Essential Certified Practicing Accountants or Chartered Accountants association
• Experience in and an understanding of Local Government accounting procedures, guidelines and Australian Auditing Standards.
