Join us at Powerlink as a Demand Management Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in fostering collaborative relationships across our organization. Your focus will revolve around ensuring seamless information exchange, empowering robust procurement decisions, and staying ahead with market trends.

This role will see you;

  • Create and communicate a comprehensive Project Procurement Management Plan, ensuring alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Spearhead and refine our approach to forecasting and material demand within Materials Procurement, implementing effective solutions to enhance forecast accuracy.
  • Utilise business-provided data to generate insightful demand forecasts in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Actively engage in significant projects/initiatives across Powerlink, advocating for optimal supply chain strategies.
  • Share critical supply chain insights, highlighting trends, bottlenecks, and potential challenges, accompanied by actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute actively to Network Investment Outlook (NIO) forecasting, Non-Regulated business demands, and Capital projects, ensuring Materials Procurement perspectives are well-considered.
  • Assist Category teams in monitoring and adjusting inventory levels to align with Just-in-Case ordering requirements.
  • Provide support and oversee the product obsolescence process in collaboration with relevant team members and business units.
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree in Business or Economics is advantageous
  • Extensive track record in developing, implementing, and continuously managing Demand Management Processes.
  • Proven familiarity with or a quick capacity to grasp Network Investment Outlook (NIO) forecasting, Non-Regulated business demands, and Capital projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in constructing precise materials forecast models, predicting future business demands across Regulated, Non-regulated, and Power System Transformation sectors.
  • Ability to consistently stay updated on supply chain trends, industry shifts, and market dynamics.
  • Substantial hands-on experience with a fully integrated materials planning system, preferably SAP Materials Management and Logistics modules.
  • Demonstrated competence in effectively coordinating and monitoring inventory levels, aligning them with tailored inventory strategies.
  • Proficiency in applying problem-solving techniques and analytical prowess to navigate diverse and intricate scenarios, pinpoint concerns, and implement appropriate solutions.
