About us
Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health service providers. We provide a range of hospital, community and residential-based healthcare services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.
Our Mental Health and Wellbeing program provides a whole-of-life service to our community, stretching from pregnancy through to older adulthood. We service communities from the Yarra Valley to Glen Iris, Warrandyte, Lysterfield, and everything in between. The size of our program means we provide a vast array of specialty services. We provide these services across a variety of emergency, community, inpatient, and residential settings, which means that you can really shape your mental health career with us.
The Lived and Living Experience team has been a key part of Eastern Health’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, providing peer support to our consumers and family/carers for many years. Following the reform recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System (RCVMHS), which emphasise the importance of integrating Lived Experience into service design and delivery, our growth has accelerated. Significant momentum is now building, and Eastern Health is committed to fully incorporating lived and living expertise throughout our entire service.
