Job description

Overview:

This role will report to the Operating Strategy Lead and be responsible for leading, managing and coordinating all commercial and business-related deliverables and initiatives of the program. This role will have primary responsibility for program deliverables including the development of a new pricing model. Additionally, this role will work with the Operating Strategy Lead on the development of a detailed business case for future state operation of a significant project.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the development of new pricing model(s) for the division's branches including the analysis of financial, commercial and service elements across current state and proposed future state operations;
  • Facilitation and development of financial models including options analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, cost benefit analysis, risks analysis, scenario and benchmark analysis;
  • Support the development of customer service offerings and determine price setting strategies cognisant of commercial implications for cost recovery;
  • Ensure that Departmental service level agreements accurately represent the intent of and include terms and conditions that reflect the basis of, any new pricing models proposed;
  • Provide financial due diligence and assist in the completion of business case proposals to ensure financial viability, as well as monitoring the cost benefit realisation as projects evolve;
  • Lead and manage business analysis activities within a large logistics and supply chain organisation.
  • Assisting in evaluation and management of commercial negotiations to ensure best outcomes for the organisation;
  • Establish, manage and maintain relationships within a complex organisational framework to build partnerships with key service provider and customer stakeholders; and
  • Provide expert and authoritative advice to senior stakeholders within and external to the project team on complex commercial and financial issues, pertaining to the scope of deliverables within the Program stream.

About you:

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Tertiary degree in commercial, business, or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience specialising in commercial operations, desirably having worked in a supply chain business;
  • Excellent commercial, negotiation and risk management skills;
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing business analysis activities in a large scale, integrated and complex business context;
  • Demonstrated experience leading financial modelling activities for large scale complex organisations and programs;
  • Proven high level negotiation, consultation, facilitation and effective written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program / project environment;
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; and
  • Strong time and project management skills with the ability to work under pressure on competing tasks.
