Job description

Primary Purpose
Manage the Compliance and Governance team including system governance and administration for the electronic document and records management system (EDRMS).
Manage human and financial resources for the Compliance and Governance Systems team, as relevant.
Provide high level specialist advice to clients, staff, management and other internal and external stakeholders and service providers. Management of a team within the Department of Health's (DoH) Strategy, Information Management and Governance Office, to deliver on overall strategic directions in collaboration with senior management.
Provide management and service delivery, in the specialised field of information management and Governance, as required.
The Role: * Manage human and financial resources for the Compliance and Governance team, including the performance and development of staff, as appropriate.
  • Lead and manage the development and implementation of forward work programs designed to embed more robust information management and Governance in DoH, consistent with recommended industry practice and where applicable, address and resolve recommendations articulated via audits and other strategic reviews.
  • Optimise functionality of the EDRMS (Content Manager) and continue to investigate prospects for integration with other corporate business systems in DoH.
  • Provide high level specialist advice to clients, staff, management and other internal and external stakeholders and service providers/vendors, in relation to records and knowledge management, information security, privacy, information interoperability, information quality and statistical capability, including monitoring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.

The Compliance & Governance team:
  • The Compliance & Governance team supports corporate records and information management for the department by administrating Open Text Content Manager 10 (CM).
  • It is a small, dedicated team of IM professionals, and has been tasked with delivering improved use of CM across the department, we focus on a support-based approach using best practice.

  • Some regular out of hours work or on-call may be required to meet specific needs and/or deadlines
Details of Appointment
Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 13 May 2024.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $124,371 - $130,905 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: * Relevant Information Management (IM) and Information Technology (IT) industry experience
  • Degree, or tertiary qualification, in a relevant discipline
  • Current Driver's Licence
