An exciting opportunity has become available for a driven Manager, Employer Engagement to join Swinburne University. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership to drive the University’s Work Integrated Learning and employability priorities by leading industry engagement and relationship management activities. This role leads the development of co-created industry experience opportunities for our students that are of mutual benefit to new and existing partners in the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors.
As an outstanding leader of people, you will be responsible for a team of professional industry and graduate employment-focused staff, who work with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver the University’s student employment and recruitment services, along with business development and partner stewardship.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated leadership experience, combined with the proven ability to exercise considerable expertise and initiative, and assume responsibility for the development and implementation of strategies and/or major initiatives
- Extensive tertiary education experience in stakeholder- centered practice for employability delivery, building a culture of scalable, personalized, digitally supported
- Demonstrated people management experience, including the ability to lead and manage staff in a supportive and collegial manner, and foster innovation
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with the proven ability and confidence to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior managers, academic and professional staff, students, industry, community, and external vendors
Qualifications
- A postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant leadership experience; or extensive management experience and proven management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
