Applications will remain current for a period of up to 12 months and may be considered for other vacancies which may include an alternative employment basis (temporary; full time or part time).

In this role you will:

  • Manage, lead, develop and coordinate the operations of a geographically dispersed team in the delivery of high quality strategic and operational surveillance of offenders in the community
  • Drive and deliver high quality GPS monitoring and analysis consistent with government priorities and broader organizational change programs relevant to management of offenders
  • Provide high quality technical and specialist advice to support rapid response to major breaches of supervision, incidents and investigations
  • Provide high quality authoritative advice on operational and strategic issues relevant to the safe and secure management of offenders subject to GPS monitoring
  • Rely upon and ensure application and compliance with contemporary Human Resource Management principles and practice and relevant Industrial awards for staff
  • Prepare high level reports, submissions, briefs and other correspondence in relation to relevant strategic and operational performance management outcomes
  • Develop collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the management of information and delivery of seamless frontline service provision in the surveillance of offenders in the community.
  • Effective risk identification, assessment and management through undertaking objective and robust analysis, exploring solutions and innovative alternatives and implementing sound risk mitigation strategies
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement strategies that support the improvement of the electronic monitoring and surveillance unit capability
  • Maintain a safe and secure workplace environment through the oversight and maintenance of facilities and equipment to delivery services
  • Exercise duty of care towards the staff, offenders and the public in accordance with obligations under prevailing workplace health and safety and rehabilitation legislation
