The Role

The purpose of the Fund Reporting Manager is to ensure that timely and accurate financial control and external reporting requirements of Insignia Financial Trust funds are delivered to management and regulators within agreed timeframes and conform to best practice.

The role covers superannuation entities (“funds”) under Insignia Financial Limited REs including but not limited to IOOF Investment Service Limited, OnePath Funds Management Pty Limited, MLC Investments Limited, Antares Limited, and Navigator Limited.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review general ledger reconciliations and regulatory returns, ensuring all work papers are prepared in accordance with accounting/tax policies and best practice
  • Review Management and Board reports accurately and within agreed deadlines
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met and the provision of accurate reporting
  • Assist in managing engagement with the external audit process
  • Review financial statements for entities
  • Provide team co-ordination capacity and accounting support, analysis and investigation for new standards or projects
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of team policies to ensure strong control processes and annual review
  • Assist in the development of internal memos to facilitate communication between teams

 

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

  • Degree qualified or high level of industry operational experience
  • CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of accounting and tax principles affecting the wealth industry
  • Planning, time management and organisational skills
  • Focus on detail, diligence, and delivery of high-quality output
  • Ability to be hands on and practical in development of solutions
