Reporting to the Director - Private Revenue, the primary purpose of this position is to run the functions of health fund contract negotiation, management and compliance.

What you'll be doing
You will engage with internal and external stakeholders across the full spectrum of contract negotiation, interpretation, performance and compliance for the Mater group of hospitals, consistent with identified organisational objectives. Both working as part of a team and lending your expertise and influence to a broad range of stakeholders, this role also interacts with contract related data outputs including clinical coding and billing across the revenue cycle continuum.

About you
To be successful in your application, you will have demonstrated success in a large and complex organisation coupled with:
- Tertiary qualification/s in business related or human behaviour discipline
- MBA or other relevant post-graduate qualifications would be highly regarded
- Experience in negotiating/managing private hospital revenue contracts
- Experience in healthcare in leadership roles
- Highly developed influencing/negotiation skills
- Demonstrated understanding of health care models (including their benefits, limitations, and risks), and operationalisation of chosen models, preferably in the private health care sector
- Demonstrated knowledge of the broader health care sector as a 'subject matter expert' with a thorough understanding of the Private Health Insurance environment
- High level of analytical skills including the ability to systematically analyse complex problems, draw relevant conclusions and effectively implement and communicate appropriate solutions
- Sound understanding of casemix and private hospital funding rules.
- Previous experience in a senior leadership role relating to large health fund contract negotiations, revenue or hospital management and be considered as a trusted leader in your field
