We are looking for our next BEX (BEGA Excellence) Manager at our Penrith site!

About our Site

Our Penrith site is located in Greater Western Sydney on the banks of the Nepean River and manufactures a range of more than 50 milk-based products. The site currently produces around 170 million litres of product every year! We proudly source milk from around 60 dairy farms across NSW and are passionate about supporting local products.

About the role

This is an exciting, newly created role which is waiting for the right candidate to make it their own! The role incorporates the best elements of Lean and CI including Learning, Practices, Analytics and Project management.

The BEX Manager plays a pivotal role in the site steering group by:

  • Supporting the leadership team to develop our lean manufacturing culture maturity, through coaching, guidance and governance of Lean processes and practices supported by the world class BEGA BEX operating system.
  • Supporting development and delivery site cost/value creation improvement projects.
  • Work as part of, and closely with, the site leadership team to prioritize and deliver the CI program across, Safety, Quality, Performance and Cost as part of our strategic plan.

This is a permanent, full-time site-based role working Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Development, syndication & stewardship of BEX operating system.
  • Accelerates the implementation of core best practices and supports internal capability. Governs the site capability plan.
  • Drives and supports a common approach to financial and operational performance reporting, driving optimal outcomes.
  • Leads optimisation projects that relate to business intelligence reporting and internal processes.
  • Enhance and standardise waste management and reporting process, capability, and systems.

About you

  • Experience in Best Practices and/or Continuous Improvement in an FMCG environment
  • Sound knowledge of LEAN manufacturing or Manufacturing Excellence (Six Sigma belt advantageous)
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members, and engage with a variety of stakeholders
  • Capable of managing change and bringing others along on the journey
