About the Role
The Manager, Operations will enact and manage Flinders Factory of the Future and will be responsible for operational functions of the Facility, including oversight of resource planning and allocation, and engaged in partner management and research project development.
The Manager, Operations, will collaborate with industry partners and university research technical and support staff for effective planning and execution of project tasks and prepare accurate project management reports for internal and external stakeholders.
This role will also be responsible for ensuring a regular review and analysis of WHS procedures and safe working procedures, risk assessments and that appropriate inductions, training and personal protective equipment is provided for anyone using equipment.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in a management or leadership role with advanced project management skills within a large complex multidisciplinary team. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write professional reports. Your High-level analytical skills and experience solving complex problems, will demonstrate your strategic thought and independent judgement.
In this role you will also demonstrate:
- Experience in the effective establishment and management of a large research and/or training manufacturing facility.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of manufacturing technologies and demonstrated evidence of attracting and implementing projects.
- Advanced project management skills with the sustained ability to establish and make effective contributions within the manufacturing industry nationally and/or internationally.
You will also have completed postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field and relevant experience, or proven expertise in the management of human, financial and physical resources.
