At the Shire we value Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork which underpin the way we work with our elected members, the community and each other.Job DescriptionAs our new Manager Parks, Waste & Natural Environment you will provide professional leadership to our Parks, Waste & Natural Environment teams. You will oversee the development and execution of capital works programs, maintenance programs and service arrangements for public open spaces and reserves, oversee the project management and delivery of natural resource management (NRM) projects and environmental initiatives, and the management and rehabilitation of contaminated sites, and oversee strategic and operational waste management for our communities. You will establish and maintain optimal service delivery levels and provide technical input to support organisational decision making.Your professional and consistent approach will see you build and grow our Parks, Waste & Natural Environment teams and foster a collaborative approach towards achieving organisational objectives. - Base annual salary circa $118,000 per annum dependent on skills, experience, and qualifications

- Proven leadership and managerial expertise
- Experience and/or qualifications in Environmental Science, Horticulture, Waste Management or related field
- Demonstrated experience in the management of construction projects and maintenance programs for the for public open spaces, horticulture, Natural Environment and/or waste collection and facilities
- Thorough understanding Workplace Health and Safety legislation and practices
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including report writing
