Contributing to the Network Aviation Safety Strategy, the Manager Regulatory Compliance is a leading role in in the Regulatory Compliance activities and the Fatigue Risk Management System (FRMS), BARS, customer, and Group compliance activities, with the responsibility for the delivery of safe operational outcomes.  

In this role, you’ll be accountable for analysing compliance where operational trends or risks are identified, to then drive, influence and champion improvements to optimise flight safety and assurance aspects. You will also provide specialist regulatory support to flight operations and maintain the relationship with various regulators including CASA. 

You’ll have – 

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a critical safety role, with a focus on the delivery of safety strategies and Safety Performance Indicators 

  • Tertiary qualification in aviation safety, flight operations or auditing 

  • Meet the requirements to hold Regulatory roles as manager FRMS 

  • Experience in the use and management of Intelex reporting platform within the SMS 

  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance environment and in-depth familiarity with Civil Aviation regulations 

  • Understanding of Safety Management Systems and proficiency of IT based programs including Microsoft Office and Comply 365 

  • Extensive experience operating under pressure in a closely risk-managed business environment 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly identify key opportunities and issues, and develop and implement best practice strategies for resolution 

  • Ability to build effective relationships and be influential with all stakeholders 

  • Ability to analyse, problem solve and facilitate outcomes using data
