Division: City Futures
Location: Council Centre
Employment status: Permanent Full-time position
Classification: Municipal Officer Level 6
Agreement: Hobart City Council Enterprise Agreement 2021
Salary range: $128,612 to $138,102 per annum + 12.5% superannuation.
You will also receive private use of a motor vehicle, car spot plus laptop and mobile phone.

About the role
This role contributes to the success of the City by creating leading edge Sport and Recreation facilities and events through the development of a strategic, future focused vision that incorporates healthy partnerships, healthy living, strong community advocacy and optimisation of each sports and Recreation hub.

About you
The desired applicant will have a bachelor's degree or higher in Recreation, Sport and Leisure, Community or a related business management field. They will be a highly experienced leader with extensive knowledge of current and future trends in the sports and Recreation environment.

Able to motivate, empower and challenge others through change.
Significant senior level experience in a multi-faceted sporting organisation.
Demonstrated ability to define and deliver a strategic vision and create innovative sports and Recreational programs.
Ability to build strong networks and effective partnerships with various levels of government, sporting clubs and the community and to position for grant funding.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, profitability, assets and maintenance programs.
Highly developed skills to foster and maintain strong strategic partnerships locally, nationally or globally.
