The role
We are seeking a high performing Water Resources Engineer to join our Brisbane leadership team as Manager – Water Resources.
SMEC have a proud heritage in the water sector. Our established water business continues to grow with talented people delivering critical projects.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the team. You will support the delivery, development and growth of our core business in water resource management, river structures, weirs, fishways, irrigation, flooding, drainage and water quality.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established team and drive growth within a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
With a minimum of 10 years' industry experience, you will play a key role in:
- Client engagement
- Business development
- Managing commercial performance
- Effectively managing and leading a team
- Providing input to projects at a technical, project management and/or review level
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Chartered Professional Engineer (or eligible to become)
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- 10+ years’ professional industry experience with water resources
- Experience delivering technical projects within a consultancy environment
- Experience working with clients and preparing successful proposals
