Ski Lodge Chef/cook/manager & Assistant - Couple - Knockshannoch SkiLodge (Charlotte Pass - Kosciuszko National Park, NSW)
Great Opportunity for a Couple
We are seeking a young,motivated couple to manage our small (6 guest rooms) family friendly ski lodgefor the 2024 snow season. Our ski in-ski out lodge is situatedin the heart of Charlotte Pass Village which is completely snowbound duringwinter and accessible only by Oversnow Transport that operates from PerisherValley.
The Roles
The two roles are best suited toan energetic and friendly couple whose passion for skiing/snowboarding ismatched by their passion for hospitality.
Key responsibilities of theManager/chef/cook:
- The Manager/chef/cook will be responsible for the smooth running of all facets of the lodge
- Menu planning, ordering food to a specified budget, stock control, providing breakfasts, self-serve homemade daily soup for lunch, 3-course table-service dinner for 6 evenings
- Daily maintenance of lodge common areas to ensure tidy and well-presented lodge,
- cleaning rooms for guest turnarounds with linen changeover
Key responsibilities of theAssistant:
- Assist Manager/cook with duties as required, including providing breakfasts and homemade soup 3 days a week solo, assisting with dinner 5 days a week and providing a 3-course table-service dinner solo one day a week
- Assist manager/cook with daily maintenance of lodge common areas to ensure tidy and well-presented common areas, cleaning rooms for guest turnarounds with linen changeover
ContractPeriod
Thecontract is for 15 weeks from Saturday 15 June 2024 to Saturday 28 September2024.
Remuneration
The remuneration for the 2 rolesare as follows:
Manager/Cook - a salary of $22 000.00 (plus superannuation) ; and
Assistant - a salary of $14559.71 (plus superannuation)

· 2 x season passes (ski lifts and oversnow)
· on-site accommodation comprisingshared bedroom with queen bed, all bedding and linen provided, en-suitebathroom, small dining area, small desk area, 2 wardrobes, TV monitor, wifi
· all meals and non alcoholicbeverages
Qualifications/Skills/Experiencerequired for these Roles
· Passion to provide members andguests with exceptional food and hospitality
· Relevant skills and experiencein the Hospitality Industry
· Experience in working in localor international ski resorts essential
· Strong interpersonal skills andan ability to work under pressure
· Strong organisational skills
· Current Food Safety Certificates
· Suitable Chef/Cooking qualifications (for Manager)
· Valid Working Visas (if notAustralian residents)
· Working with Children Checks(WWCC)
· Police Clearance Certificates
