Mandarin & Cantonese Certified Interpreter

  • Part time role 0.2 EFT (ongoing)
  • 5 weeks annual leave pro-rata

Your new role:
Seeking experienced health care interpreters to join our growing in-house interpreting team. The Interpreter Service sits within the Social Work and Diversity Department and is committed to providing responsive language services that include interpreter and translation services. We have an in-house team of 18 including the coordinator of the service and booking clerk. The team provides appropriately credentialed interpreter services for patients, families and staff to facilitate safe communication throughout a patient’s journey at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (City and Royal Park Campuses).
About you:
  • NAATI Certified Mandarin and Cantonese Interpreter
  • Experienced interpreter and translator in a health setting with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across an organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
  • High level of administrative skills
  • Solutions focused with an ability to meet deadlines, work independently and within a team.
