About the Role:
A fantastic opportunity is available for a Secondary Mandarin LOTE teacher to join a close-knit P-9 school community in Truganina. This full-time position for 2024 entails teaching Mandarin LOTE to secondary students in years 7-9 within a collaborative and supportive LOTE teaching team. The leadership team is accessible, and the learning community is dedicated to nurturing children, equipping them for real-world challenges, and integrating genuine Indigenous Cultural Inclusion elements. Key duties:
- Deliver engaging and enthusiastic instruction aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
- Stay current with LOTE curriculum initiatives, ensuring up-to-date familiarity Commit to ongoing professional growth through participation in coaching, mentoring, and collaborative initiatives
- Demonstrate proficiency in teamwork, strategic thinking, and innovative planning while embodying the community spirit of the school
- A full-time, role starting in 2024
- Instructing students across from year 7-9
- Interacting with approachable and transparent leadership
- Salary aligned with demonstrated expertise, ranging from $75,000 to $115,000
- Continuing opportunities for professional development
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Hold a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
