Job description

Founded in 1902, TricorBraun is a global leader, providing primary packaging solutions across a wide array of customer end markets.

At TricorBraun Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), we combine the local flexibility and on-the-ground expertise of a family-run packaging business with the global resources of one of the world’s largest packaging companies.

Innovation, quality and exceptional customer care, which are the hallmarks of our philosophy, have solidified our reputation as one of the most well-respected manufacturers and suppliers of packaging materials and services.

TricorBraun comprises more than 2,000 packaging professionals operating from more than 100 locations across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive analysis and commentary on all manufacturing operations within the Australian business. Also, you will partner with other key divisions and stakeholders to ensure cost-effective manufacturing solutions.

You can work at either our Condell Park or Wetherill Park site, depending on your preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly manufacturing reporting, including analysis of recoveries, labour and overheads.
  • Analyse all manufacturing costs and investigate variances for raw materials, direct and indirect labour, direct and indirect overheads (power). Highlight change and/or improvement opportunities to site and business leaders.
  • Perform PPV reporting and cost variance analysis.
  • Assist in month-end and inventory close.
  • Maintain, reconcile and review balance sheet accounts.
  • Participate in the annual preparation of plant budgets including standard product cost development, budgeted variances, cost centre budgeting, headcount requirements, volume analysis and raw material pricing analysis.
  • Assist in the formulation of customer pricing for manufactured products.
  • Analyse changes in product design, raw materials or manufacturing methods to determine the effects on cost.

About You

  • Prior experience within Manufacturing, Packaging, Logistics or FMCG industry sectors.
  • 4-6 years experience in a Manufacturing or Cost Accounting role.
  • Advanced Excel and broader accounting system skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and transformation of data into usable business information.
  • Innovative mindset and curiosity so you can come up with solutions, not just report on results.
  • Able to establish strong relationships and credibility with key stakeholders and effectively manage their expectations.
  • Business partner approach to working relationships.
  • Experience using Microsoft D365 is preferred but not essential.

TricorBraun is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.

To be eligible for this role you must have full working rights or be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.

We do not accept unsolicited resumes from employment agencies. No (search) fee will be paid in the event we hire a candidate whose resume is submitted by an employment agency to any of our employees without a valid written recruitment agreement.
