Manufacturing Engineer

Be part of the future! This company has developed a new and innovative means of capturing solar energy which they believe will transform the production of many consumer products as well as commercial applications in space and air transport.
They are now moving to the commercialisation stage and are seeking an ambitious, and dynamic engineer to lead the development of manufacturing capability.

Working closely with the Product Development team you will be responsible for the design and implementation of a manufacturing process, including identifying and acquiring manufacturing tools and machinery. In addition this will involve the recruitment and leadership of production staff, ensuring compliance with quality, efficiency and safety standards, and the development of continuous improvement programs.

Ideally you will be degree qualified in Process Engineering or another technical manufacturing related field and have proven experience in project management within a manufacturing function. This is a hands-on role which will develop into leading a team, so we are seeking personal characteristics of drive, ability to work autonomously and flexibility together with the capacity to lead and work in a team.

Industry experience in printing, packaging or pharmaceutical manufacturing requiring accurate and high-speed roll to roll printing would be highly regarded.
