Recently acquired by Air Diffusion Agencies, Paltech is on a significant path of growth, and our Pakenham branch now has an opportunity for a Manufacturing Supervisor in our new duct board manufacturing plant.
The ideal candidate will be computer literate with experience in a manufacturing and production environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the duct board manufacturing operation, monitor employees and organising workflows to ensure effective production outputs. You will also be “hands-on” with manufacturing, leading by example.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage production staff.
- Coordinate manufacturing operations and ensure set production schedule is met each shift, whilst ensuring product standards and product specifications align.
- Maintain a strong culture in safety first awareness across the organisation.
- Assist branch manager to organise the hiring and training of new permanent and labour hire employees in line with production requirements.
- Maintain stock inventory and supply of materials essential for
- Track jobs from order to invoicing to dispatch through Paltech ERP software
- Drive Forklift when required.
- Manage and inspire staff to be motivated and productive.
- Be hands on and part of the team.
- Conduct weekly Toolbox and pre-start meetings when Production Supervisor is on leave.
Skills and Experience
- Previous Team Leader/Supervisor experience
- LF Forklift license required
- Experience in Production Management Systems.
- Good communication skills
- Acute attention to detail
- Able to prioritise and organise tasks
- Enable smooth transfers between branches
- Able to use Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
- Proven ability to manage change.
- A solid understanding of manufacturing and distribution processes including Stock control, ordering, and dispatch.
- Great people management skills
