Address 10 horticultural workers are required for the bananas and various other fruits and vegetables season starting in November 2024 through to August 2025, across properties in Mareeba and Surrounding areas, Far North QLD. Workers must be available to work 5-7 days per week. Hours of work will vary daily, depending on harvest requirements, averaging a minimum of 30 hours per week. This work is mainly outdoors in various weather conditions and involves picking, planting, packing and general crop management of bananas and various other fruits and vegetables. Wages will be under the Horticultural Award 2020 and primarily paid under the casual hourly award rate ($28.26 per hour). Workers must be available for the full 9 months duration. You will need reliable transport. It is essential that you are able to work flexible hours as rosters will vary. You must be reliable and committed and have the ability to work quickly and accurately. Due to the high physical demands of these positions, workers will need to be physically fit and self-motivated. You may be on your feet for extended periods and required to perform repetitive manual tasks.
