You will ensure that the appropriate internal control procedures are followed and that you are complying with all safety standards including Safe Food Handling.YOUR DAY-TO-DAY· Crew Toolbox Meeting, discuss load, weights, placement, access, all aspects of preparing Vessel for safe operation· Assist Engineer to unsecure Vessels Night Lines in readiness for Deck Loading Operations· Assist the Loading of Vehicles / pallets / passengers, complete Head count & Safety Brief / Attend to all Vessels Husbandry Duties (passenger comfort / toilets)· Assist in all aspects of Ships Operation, Watch Keeping in Heavy Weather / Assist M.E.D. as required /Check Load Security. Complete all Ships Logs & Duties Lists· On completion of Days Service, Assist in Securing to Wharf , wash down / secure / attend to any Maintenance issues incurred / Stand Down· Maintain accurate records for tracking and reporting purposes· Forklift Operation (If Current License)· Barge Related administration tasks· To adhere to Hotel handbook guidelines for presentation, grooming and punctuality.· Develop and maintain cohesive working relationships within immediate team, and wider hotel team· Align daily work activities with the priorities of the Wheel – hotel and department actions to be a key focus.· Communicates to his/her supervisor any difficulties with service, guest comments and other relevant information; follow complaint handling procedures for prompt resolution of challenges.ACCOUNTABILITYInterContinental Hayman Island Resort prides itself on delighting our Guests and providing them with a service derived from a high-performance culture that is embedded through each function of the Resort.With comprehensive SOPs, robust policies and procedures and individual departmental training plans in place we ensure that all colleagues are provided with solid foundations to ensure their continued success throughout their employment.During your employment, you will be provided with clear performance expectations in the form of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and leadership competencies. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential· Experience – Ideally you’ll have a Valid Forklift License· Strength - sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling
