About you
You have experience in the Marine Industry with comprehensive knowledge of boats and Marine Operations. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with solid attention to details. You are well organised and a great leader. You are great with people, and have well developed communication, interpersonal and advocacy skills. You have strong business acumen and are a skilled problem solver.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Marine Operations Supervisor to join the team. You will support the day-to day operations and maintenance of the Port Douglas marine sector in a safe, professional, and financially astute manner.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist in the overall operation of Calypso Cruises and Daintree Tours
- Working with regulators including, but not limited to WPHS and AMSA
- Support recruitment and retention initiatives
- Aid in the management and development of crew
- SMS support in coordination with Safety and Quality Officer.
- Ensure that all vessels and crew are compliant - Certification, logbook (Sealog), and permit control
