Join us in the Marine Technical Superintendent role which will take technical responsibility of Port of Brisbane’s fleet of vessels, including providing technical oversight of the TSHD Brisbane and support to the onboard engineering team. 

Experienced, willing, and with great attention to detail: Here’s who we’re looking for.  

  • You have proven leadership experience, with a focus on employee development, engagement, and collaboration.
  • You’ve already made the transition from seafaring to shore based management and you’re ready for your next challenge, or you’re looking to make that transition now.
  • You take a long-term view of marine fleet technical optimisation.
  • You have proven experience in embedding a strategic asset management approach to managing vessel/floating asset lifecycles.
  • You have proven experience in project management, and ideally experience planning and managing international ship dockings.
  • You’re experienced in overseeing and managing mandatory systems including Planned Maintenance Systems and dredging/ hydrographic data systems.
  • You’re passionate about driving technological improvements and efficiencies and encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and quality control improvements.
  • You hold (or held) a seafaring engineering qualification.
